Travelling tips

Here are a few tips to help your baby or toddler sleep better in a portacot:

  • Do a few practice runs in the portacot with naps in the lead up to your trip so the portacot isn't brand new in a new place.

  • keep in mind that your little one will feel colder than normal in a portacot because it is lower to the ground and the mattress isn't as substantial - add an extra layer!

  • Use the same bedding and sleep sack as at home so it smells and feels familiar.

  • White noise is great especially if there are lots of people around or you are sharing a room.

  • Use either portable blackout blinds or a portacot cover to keep the sleeping space dark.
