With school holidays shaking up our routines, our bedtime schedule needed a little tweak! So, I teamed up with my four-year-old to create this simple bedtime reward chart.
Together, we decided on three key bedtime behaviors:
1. Stay in bed
2. Wait for mum to come back
3. Use a calm voice
He’s super excited to earn stickers every night by sticking to these goals!
For those with younger preschoolers, you can simplify this even more by focusing on just one goal. The key is to make it simple and achievable. Letting your kids help create the chart or choose the goals can make a big difference—they feel involved and more motivated to follow through.
Remember, reward charts don’t need to be complex. A few goals, some stickers, and lots of enthusiasm are all you need to set your little ones up for success!
